Grants Boost Local Business Ecosystem

Congratulations to Door PrizeLickety Split, and The Plant Connector on receiving grant funding to support improvements and growth. Through MassDevelopment’s Biz-M-Power program, Door Prize was awarded $14,583 to install wooden ceiling slats that will improve acoustics and enhance the dining experience.

Lickety Split and The Plant Connector also secured Backing Small Businesses grants through Main Street America and American Express, supporting equipment upgrades and an outdoor mobile plant cart.

In other big news, Assets for Artists received an $80,000 Small Business Technical Assistance grant from MassDevelopment to expand advising, training, and access to capital for entrepreneurs, strengthening the broader creative and small business community.

We’re excited to celebrate these well-deserved investments in local entrepreneurs—congratulations to all for helping move North Adams forward!
