DCR Seeks Public Input on Natural Bridge State Park Improvements
The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will host a public meeting to present the 25% design development plans for improvements at Natural Bridge State Park in North Adams.

The project aims to preserve the park’s unique natural, cultural, and industrial history while improving visitor safety and accessibility. Proposed upgrades include stabilization of historic structures, safety improvements at the former mill site, enhanced parking and visitor arrival areas, expanded universal access, and new accessible overlooks of the chasm, white marble dam, Hudson Brook, and historic quarry features.
Community members are encouraged to attend and share feedback during the meeting. Additional comments may be submitted through DCR’s public comment portal through July 22, 2026. Following the meeting, the presentation will be available on DCR’s website.
