The MassCEO Technical Assistance Stipend Program helps Massachusetts businesses explore employee ownership without taking on the full cost of expert guidance upfront. Administered by the Massachusetts Center for Employee Ownership, this competitive program offers matching funds for eligible technical assistance to help businesses evaluate or plan a transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) or worker cooperative.

Businesses work with an approved technical assistance provider and pay their share of the cost. Once payment is verified, MassCEO sends its matching funds directly to the provider—not the business.
