  • Accessibility Upgrades

Do you or a household member have a disability or are over 60 years old?

The Home Modification Loan Program (HMLP) is a state-funded program that can fund upgrades and modifications to help family members with physical and cognitive limitations live more independently at home. The HMLP makes it possible for individuals with disabilities and older adults to remain in their own homes and communities.

  • Home Repair Loans

Do you own a home that has health and safety hazards, but you’re unable to afford repairs?

USDA’s Section 504 Home Repair program provides loans to very-low-income (at or less than $54,750 for households with 1–4 people, or $72,300 for households with 5 or more people) homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes, or grants to very-low-income homeowners over age 62 to remove health and safety hazards.

  • Accessory Dwelling Units

Are you interested in downsizing and/or renting your home as a source of income? An Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) may be right for you.

An Accessory Dwelling Unit is a secondary residential living space smaller than 900 sf, located on the same lot of a single-family home. The ADU policy recently signed by the Healy Administration allows property owners to build an ADU without having to get special or discretionary approval from the local zoning board.
